Your therapist must be licensed in the state in which you reside. At the moment, Tori DiBona is licensed in Colorado and Illinois. You qualify to receive mental health services if you live in either of those two states.

There are 3 different ways that you can book your first session:
1) Use the booking widget directly on this website. Please keep in mind that the time slot that you choose for the first session will be the time slot you intend to meet with your therapist on a recurring basis.
2) Fill out the contact form that can be found by clicking on the “CONTACT” button located at the top right of this page.
3) Call 720-805-8653 or email tori@tellmyuntold.com. You can expect to receive a call or email back within 2 business days.
Future sessions will be scheduled near the end of each session.

Cancellations must be communicated by email or PracticeQ’s secure messaging portal, NOT phone. Your therapist might miss your call and not listen to your voicemail until much later due to being in a session with another client, reducing the amount of time she has to fill the time slot that has recently become available.
-
Please cancel or reschedule sessions at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled session time. Notifications given in less than 24 hours of the scheduled session time will be subject to a $100 fee. Additionally, it is considered a “no-show” if you are more than 15 minutes late to a session, which will also result in being charged a $100 fee.

There is a policy in place that requires all balances to be paid in full at the time of service. This means that you are responsible for paying the full fee upfront. Your therapist will provide you with a “Superbill” aka an itemized list of services to submit to your insurance provider to request reimbursement for covered services. It's important to note that not all insurance plans reimburse for out-of-network services, and the amount of reimbursement can vary depending on the particular plan's coverage. You are recommended to call the number on the back of your insurance ID card and asking about your out-of-network benefits before your initial session.
Some questions to ask your insurance provider:
What do my out-of-network benefits for virtual mental health services look like?
Do I have a deductible that I need to meet before services will be reimbursed/covered?
What percentage of the rate of my sessions will be reimbursed/covered?
Is there a maximum number of sessions reimbursed/covered per year?
What type of services are eligible for reimbursement/coverage? Individual therapy, couple therapy and/or family therapy?
-
Sessions are only offered virtually for the foreseeable future. You will be informed if/when in-person sessions become an option.

Online therapy, also known as teletherapy or telehealth, refers to virtual psychotherapy sessions that take place through electronic means, either conducted via video conferencing or audio-only conferencing.
Are mental health services less effective when conducted remotely? Not necessarily. Online therapy can make sessions much more convenient, accessible, flexible, and comfortable, cultivating an environment that encourages you to be vulnerable, gain insight, and attain growth necessary to acquire positive change in a way that works for you. It may be worth trying few sessions to see if online therapy is right for you.
Sessions will be conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You will be given a secure link for each session to maximize confidentiality. Please reach out if you would like to learn more about this.

Sessions are typically scheduled once a week. However, this is largely dependent on the amount of time/energy you have to devote toward addressing your presenting concern(s). The frequency of sessions tends to reduce as you get closer to reaching your treatment goals.
-
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to how long you'll be in therapy.
The duration of therapy varies greatly depending on your needs, circumstances, goals, progress, and the type of therapy you're receiving. Generally speaking, therapy can last anywhere from several months to several years. Your therapist will regularly review and discuss your treatment plan with you to ensure that you're receiving optimal care. The most important thing is to focus on making meaningful progress and achieving the changes you desire.

During the initial consultation, the focus is typically on providing you and your therapist the opportunity to gathering the necessary information to determine if the services your therapist can offer you is in alignment with what you are looking for. You can expect to briefly discuss your reason(s) for seeking treatment, relevant details pertaining to your presenting concerns and life circumstances, initial goals for treatment, preferred therapeutic approach, logistics (e.g., availability, how you plan to pay for services, etc), and any questions or concerns you may have at this time.
